What would be more terrifying, Skydiving or Big Shark Cage Diving?

Everyone needs a little adventure in their lives.

Are you an adrenaline junkie?

How far are you willing to go to get that amazing adrenaline rush?

I tried to think of two things on the opposite end of the spectrum for this question. You can’t get much further apart than the sky and the ocean.

Both examples would be super terrifying, but if you’re a thrill seeker, both would probably be something you would consider doing.

Skydiving

Pros:

The freefall would probably feel like you’re flying.

You would have some amazing views.

You would have done something less than 1 percent of the world has done.

Con’s:

If something goes wrong with your parachute, you are pretty much guaranteed to die.

You could injure yourself when you land on the ground.

Did I mention you could die?

Big Shark Cage Diving

Pros:

You could see one of the most amazing creatures in the ocean up close.

You could experience an environment that is very different from your everyday life.

You could get to do something that very few people will ever have the opportunity to do.

Con’s:

You could be badly injured or even die if something went wrong with the cage.

You could be stuck in a terrifying environment for a prolonged period, waiting for the sharks to leave before you could get back on the boat.

Are you willing to take the risk?

I am willing to take the risk, and it’s an easy choice which one I would do.

I am terrified of heights. I’m so terrified that I won’t book an ocean-facing condo in Hawaii above the second floor. I’m so terrified that if my family is going on a vacation that involves tall mountains, I’ll stay home and work. I know… what a baby!

On the other hand, it is probably my biggest bucket list item to go down in a cage and see some giant Great White Sharks. They must be huge, though, or I would probably be slightly disappointed. I want to see Jaw’s long-lost sister. Actually, I want to touch Jaw’s long-lost sister.

My wife thinks I’m insane but would be willing to support me… from the boat.

It’s crazy that I don’t fear what could happen, but parts of me feel like if something did go wrong, that was how I was supposed to go. That’s a little dark, but it is how I feel. That may change once I get on the boat, but I am sure I would still get in the cage.

I love writing! It brings me joy when I find a topic that excites me so much I must hurry home and write about it. That's why I do what I do.
